Welcome and thank you for taking the time to challenge yourself in exploring a problem that is currently foremost in your mind and stopping you from moving ahead.
We are always trying to solve problems.
How do I get my next job?
How can we launch a new product?
How can I transition to a new career or move to another country?
In effective problem solving, "delta" is a term used to represent something that could be improved. It is often used in a plus/delta chart, which is as a feedback tool that helps teams identify areas for improvement and move through them.
In this course you will learn to develop a set of skills to tackle your "delta" kind of problem.
This method will help you to define a problem, and the obstacles that stop you from overcoming the problem. You will explore root problem causes and generate small experiments to make headway in solving the problem.
In its essence, problem-solving is a process that can be broken down into four steps: (1) understand the current situation; (2) identify the root cause of the problem; (3) develop an effective action plan; and (4) execute until the problem is solved, making modifications as necessary.
The main benefit of this exercise is that in solving one problem you will improve your ability to solve problems.
